Movie star, Eddie Murphy ruled the eighties box-office with such hits as, "48 Hrs", "Trading Places" and of course, "Beverly Hills Cop". Then his career hit few speed bumps in the early to mid nineties until the former potty mouth comic made a family friendly comeback which started in 1996 with,"The Nutty Professor" and continued with "Dr. Doolittle" and "Daddy Day Care" films that saved his career along with the successful Shrek franchise and culminating with an Oscar nomination for his soul singer role in 2006's, "Dreamgirls".
