On tonight's DWTS, the competitors had to dance the waltz or the jitterbug and had to be participate in a dance marathon later.
Mya and Dmitry Chaplin started the night off with a lively jitterbug to the Stray Cats song, "C'mon Everybody". Len disliked the gimmick of dusting the judges' panel desk for too long a time, Bruno loved the timing and Carrie Ann thought it was slightly understated. So, Mya's scores were Len (7), Bruno (9) and Carrie Ann (8).
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas danced a nice waltz to Celine Dion song, "Only One Road". The judges thought it lacked fluidity and posture, but those were Bruno and Carrie Ann harsh remarks, Len found it to be elegant, despite some technical mistakes. Melissa's scores were two sevens and a six from Bruno! Ouch!
Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer did the jitterbug to the Brian Seltzer Orchestra's song, "This Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" to very playful results. The judges loved their energetic performance despite the minor stumble at the end. Mark's scores were two nines and an eight from Bruno.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff performed the waltz to the Commodores classic song, "Three Times a Lady" to pretty good results. The judges loved his posture, but he did lose his footing occasionally. Aaron's scores were two eights and a nine from Len.
Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova danced the waltz to the song, "I Wonder Why" by Curtis Stigers. A surprisingly fine performance. The judges were disappointed with his posture, his stumbles, a lift, but Len found it charming, said it had good footwork and he liked Michael's posture! What mixed results! Michael's scores were two sixes and an eight from Len.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel did a decent jitterbug to the song, "Bread and Butter" by the Newbeats. The judges comments were that it was fun, but a little flatfooted and safe. Kelly's scores were two sevens and a six from Len.
Louie Vito and Chelsea Hightower performed the jitterbug to the song, "Baby Likes To Rock It" by The Tractors to enjoyable results. The judges liked the energy, but thought the technical side was lacking. Louie's scores were a trio of sevens.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough danced the waltz to Norah Jones' song, "Be Here To Love Me" to lovely results. But, what did the judges think? They liked her lines, but her footwork was a little sloppy and Joanna showed some hesitation. Joanna's scores were two nines and an eight from Carrie Ann.
Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson did an entertaining jitterbug to Choo Choo Ch'Boogie song by Louis Jordan. The judges liked the crowdpleasing performance, but the timing was slightly off and there were a few uncharacteristic stumbles. Donny's scores were all eights.
